7 Icons – Indonesian Girl Band – Playboy

It seems that the music industry in Indonesia is having a boom of girls and boy bands. After Sm*sh or (Smash) has made a debut in music industry and has stirred quite controversy, now there’s a new girl band that want to be the next Girls’ Generation – Indonesian’s version.

A lot of people don’t know what to say; whether they should be proud of these bands or not. Sm*sh has made quite popularity but they have to do it they hard way. Although they’re quite popularity, they also receive scold and mock from Korean fans. They’re stated not to have original style and were only able to copy the overall performance; starting from clothing style, choreography, video clip concept, low quality songs, and even performance and style. Lots of people have thought of this band as a copycat, but strangely enough, a lot of teens seem to adore them and become hysterical whenever they perform. Well, I guess when there’s a demand, there’s a supply….

Now, the 7 Icons are also presenting and debuting themselves as the next girl band. However, if they are to compared with Korean girl bands, they’re still far away left behind. Their choreography was lousy and bad, they are doing lip-synch, and their songs are quite cheesy and lousy, just like “cenat-cenut” by Sm*sh.

Rania: The New Kpop Girl Band

Despite the tragedy happening to Japan, Korean music industry keeps going on and surviving. Although some of their schedules, performances, and businesses in Japan suffer from quite a delay and loss, the South Korean artists are still doing their activities, with more focus on their careers so that they cn develop it within Korean or other international market such as the Western countries. But it can wait for later.

New Kpop Band

Right now, Korean industry is getting a new newcomer, The New Kpop Girl Band called Rania. After quite a long time of preparation – about a year – the girls from Rania are finally ready to introduce themselves to the world. And the finally did, when they debuted their first performance on M! Countdown stage on Mnet, performing their song “Dr. Feel Good”.

The band consists of 7 beautiful girls: Jui, Riko, Semi, Joy, Dee, T-ae, and Xia, with Riko as Korean-Japanese, and Joy from Thailand. Another cool thing about the girls is that they’re all very much fluent in Thai, English, Chinese, Korean, and also Japanese.

Their first song “Dr. Feel Good” is a catchy song, with attractive melody and good lyrics. The whole concept is arranged by Teddy Riley who manages to take care of the girls’ costume, songs, and their stage performance.

SNSD Girls’ Generation to perform at music fest in Japan

9 member Girl group (SNSD) Girls’ Generation has taken the Japanese music marketplace by surprise since making their launching in the country in Aug this year, appealing over 20,000 fans to their beginning showcase and getting the beginning Korean girl group to place in at No. 1 on the prestigious Oricon chart.

Their Japanese singles “Gee” and “Genie” have each passed out over 100,000 copies to be certified gold discs.

The girls have been busy advertising their latest song “Hoot” in Korea from their 3rd mini-album of the same name which has topped several online and offline music charts since its release in mid-October.

A New Group: Girl2School Released Let’s Play Dance

A new group is always an interesting news and topics to talk about, especially when they consists of beautiful girls and in such a large number. That’s what happens to Girl2School, a new girl group from South Korea. The new group has become the topic of everyone talk in South Korea’s entertainment industry since it has many members – in fact, too many, according to many people. Maybe whoever decided to form this group was hoping that this group will follow the success path of the previous group having so many members, Super Junior or Suju.

This new girl group is recently releasing their new album, which only consists of three songs, “Intro”, “Let’s Play Dance”, and “Homework of Girl2School”. And just now they’re releasing their music video for the song “Let’s Play Dance”. They’re hoping the new music video will help supporting the selling of their new album, which is also expected to be able to reach success stairs.

Some people give good review of their song and also their performance in the video. They say that the music is quite catchy and easy listening. But some people also give critics, saying that it’s an unclear group, with unclear song, and definitely too many members.
