New inventions are created to help human kind in doing daily activities. In short, inventions are supposed to make life easier. But there are inventions that are just plain not useful at all or even stupid, including the Japanese rain goggles. Thanks to sitcom “Two and a Half Man”, many people now know about them.
Rain goggles are actually regular goggles but they have water inside the two lenses. It’s said to give the sensation of being underwater while you’re walking around on dry land. And why should you feel being underwater while being up on dry land? There’s no clear answer for that. These goggles do exist and they’re one of the many things Japanese have created. The Japanese aren’t only famous for creating useful things, but also notorious for creating bizarre things. Some of those things are: an upside umbrella that can be used for saving the rain water (and what would anyone do that?), funnel for eye drop so your eye drop will be put on the right spot, and a finger tooth brush, which acts the same as thimble, can be attached to your finger. The Japanese themselves are proud to create such useless things and they said it’s a part of their national tradition.
